Summary of Irisan

                         Do you really know the history of Irisan? Here are some of the history of Irisan.

                         The old Irisan is called "Idisan" which means a wood used grind something to 

make it fine. Not so long ago, until the 1950's, the place was thickly forested with pine trees. 

The first family who stayed here in Irisan is Virginia Luna and his husband Felix Luna. 

Before she married Felix Luna, she has his first husband named Lopez Oseo and they had 

One (1) son. Felix Luna and Virginia Luna have eleven (11) children (9 legal, 1 step, 

1 adopted). Catalino Pablo came here in Irisan together with her daughter Virginia Luna at 

the age of thirteen (13). Virginia Luna was a market vendor, she also became one of the 

barangay official (1967-1970) and in 1972-1988 she bacame the second barangay captain.

                         The places in Irisan like Cypress was owned by Pucay but he sold it and 

turned into a subdivision, pastural land and dumpsite before. The known mall and hotel

 building called Cooyeesan is lately known as BMI or Baguio Military Institute. BMI is a

school for rich people but it was closed and was bought by Korean's, that's why the BMI was

 change into Cooyeesan, a Korean Company.

                         At this present time, Irisan is now a mix cultured place because of migrant 

who migrate. The place Irisan at this present time is now full of houses.
